Ununoctium Applications

Ununoctium can be used to synthesize via α-decay element 116, Ununhexium:

²⁹⁴₁₁₈Uuo -> ²⁹⁰₁₁₆Uuh + ⁴₂He

Ununoctium was also used as another prove of the theory of Island of Stability, proposed by Glenn Seabogr.



This theory explain why half-life period of Ununoctium is longer than it was predicted before.
